"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7 NIV

On December 29, 2021, Steven finished his mission on earth and was welcomed by his Heavenly Father to his eternal home.

Steven Tyrone Joiner affectionately known as Steve or Uncle Stevie, was born on January 15, 1957 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the sixth of twelve children born to  the union of Elmer and Lona Joiner. Steve attended both Catholic and Public Schools in Cincinnati, graduating from Woodward High School, and continued his education at the University of Cincinnati. He was an active church member starting off as an Alter Boy at St. Henry Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Young Adult Mission at Southern Missionary Baptist Church, and a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Norcross, Georgia.

Steve began his career working as a data analyst for Western Southern Life, later joining their IT training program. This sparked his love for computers and technology, leading to a job with the Federated Department Stores and eventually becoming an independent contractor for companies including Macy's and the New York City Police Department.

In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, good food, and sports-especially his beloved Cleveland Browns! He was an all-around sportsman and enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing tennis, basketball and baseball. He was very passionate about his family, always showing love, concern, and support. He was the happiest during family gatherings especially when food was involved.

Steve met Rhonda, the love of his life, in math class at Woodward High School. They dated for a couple of years and then eventually married in 1985. Steve and Rhonda have three children: Lawrence, Aaron, and Jessica. Rhonda was dedicated to her love and their children, caring for Steve until his passing.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Lona Joiner, and his brothers, Elmer Joiner Jr., and Michael Joiner.

Steve leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory, his loving wife Rhonda, and their children: Lawrence (Yve) White, Aaron Joiner, and Jessica Joiner.
