Derrick Edward Hillman was born on August 11, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Willie and Creola Hillman. 

He was proceeded in death by his father, Willie Hillman, and his brother Michael Hillman.

Derrick died at the age 67 years old on Saturday, December 13, 2023 at Veterans Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio with his daughter Kenya at his bedside.

Derrick was a very smart student in school. He graduated from Woodward High School in the top 10% of his class in June of 1974. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the United State Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1978. After leaving the military, he worked for many different contracting companies as a member of Local 265 Labor Union. He was instrumental in building the Paul Brown Stadium.

Derrick was a fun-loving friendly person, and had one of the warmest smiles you could ever see. He was a loving brother, uncle, father, and grandfather to his family and will be truly missed, but not forgotten. He was a die-hard Bengals fan and was active in many sports and leagues (Softball, Bowling, and Pool).

Derrick accepted the Lord at an early age and was a faithful member of New Prospect Baptist Church until his passing.

Derrick will be in loving memory to his children's mother Emily (Hillman) Godbold, his three children - sons (Derrick, Demarco & David Hillman), and daughter, Kenya Hillman. One brother Christopher Hillman (wife Melissa), two sisters, Cynthia Armstrong & Carolyn Williams, 13 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. 

Visitation, Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 10:00am, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00am; New Prospect Baptist Church, 1580 Summit Rd 45237.
